Glucose Reference Range Update
The American Diabetes Association now recommends an upper reference interval limit of 100 mg/dL for fasting glucose testing. The new limit may provide earlier diagnosis of impaired glucose tolerance patients that has been associated with pre-diabetic conditions. Our reference interval for adults will change from 70-110 to a new range of 70-100 mg/dL effective 8/15/2005.
