Histology Assistant

Job Summary

Performs tasks to support the pathology technical staff in the areas of specimen procurement, processing and special staining. Assists pathologist as required.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Minimum one (1) year prior experience in a pathology laboratory preferred.
3. Medical terminology experience highly desirable.
4. Computer data entry experience required.
5. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
6. Excellent English communication (verbal and written) skills, including by telephone.
