I.T. Support Technician
Job Summary
The IT Support Technician maintains client/customer satisfaction by providing accurate product and service information; provides timely resolution of equipment or application problems following established processes and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in biological, laboratory or computer science.
- One year's experience in Client Services and General Laboratory preferable.
- A good service oriented attitude is necessary.
- One year experience in Information Technology related areas preferable.
- An eagerness to learn IT subjects is absolutely necessary.
- Possesses working knowledge of LIS and other mission-critical applications.
- Possesses working knowledge of the laboratory sections including histology/cytology, microbiology, toxicology, and reference laboratory.
- Possesses knowledge of patient report print schedules and turn-around-times for tests.
- Possesses advanced computer skills and knowledge of the network and peripheral devices used for the various systems. Also shows a willingness to learn more of the technical, procedural and support of those systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Excellent and proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both (written and verbal) including by telephone.
