Laboratory Manager
The Laboratory Manager assists the Pathologist and Lab Operations Manager in planning objectives and scope of the hospital/medical center laboratory services. Manages daily activities, including proper staffing levels, to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of services. May be required to act as technical consultant for technical and scientific oversight of the outreach lab.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in science related field.
- Current certification or registration as a MT such as ASCP, NCA, HEW or equivalent.
- Valid and current State of Hawaii license as a Medical Technologist (Supervisor).
- Minimum five (5) years clinical laboratory experience in a hospital/commercial lab setting. The Medical Director may use discretion in assignment of managerial position to an individual with less than 5 years of experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience.1i>
- Strong knowledge and skills in lab information systems required.
- Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
