I.T. Support Technician

Job Summary

The IT Support Technician maintains client/customer satisfaction by providing timely resolution of equipment or application problems following established processes and guidelines.

Qualifications

  1. Associate degree or equivalent in biological, laboratory or computer science.
  2. One year experience in Client Services and General Laboratory preferable.
  3. A good service oriented attitude is necessary.
  4. One year experience in Information Technology related areas preferable.
  5. An eagerness to learn IT subjects is absolutely necessary.
  6. Possesses working knowledge of LIS and other mission-critical applications.
  7. Possesses working knowledge of the laboratory sections including histology/cytology, microbiology, toxicology, and reference laboratory.
  8. Possesses knowledge of patient report print schedules and turn-around-times for tests.
  9. Possesses advanced computer skills and knowledge of the network and peripheral devices used for the various systems. Also shows a willingness to learn more of the technical, procedural and support of those systems.
  10. Passes company drug testing program pre-hire and thereafter on a periodic and/or random basis.
  11. Excellent organizational.
  12. Excellent and proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  13. Excellent English communication skills, both (written and verbal) including by telephone.
  14. Demonstrated and proven ability/experience in accomplishments in all of our five core values:
