Laboratory Supervisor
The Medical Technologist supervisor directs and controls personnel, equipment, resources, and testing procedures within the laboratory and/or specific section. Able to perform all the essential job duties of a Medical Technologist, Senior as well as assume direct supervisory duties over personnel and all resources within the lab and/or specific section.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited program.
- Current certification/ registration as a Medical Technologist such as ASCP, NCA, HEW or equivalent.
- Valid and current State of Hawaii license as a Medical Technologist.
- Minimum four (4) years clinical laboratory experience in a hospital/commercial lab setting. The Medical Director may use discretion in assignment of supervisory position to an individual with less than 4 years of experience.
- Strong computer skills (Word and Excel) and knowledge in lab information systems is required.
- Passes company drug testing program pre-hire and thereafter on a periodic and/or random basis.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent English communication (verbal and written) skills, including by telephone.
